Short summary of work history: What position did you start in? Where are you now?

I started working for Sony DADC over 23 years ago as Production Planner, before I moved to the Customer Services Department. After fulfilling this position I worked for DADC in the UK for 2 years. After returning to Austria, I took over the responsibility for a CS team as Customer Service Manager for some major clients. In parallel, I worked as an Account Director, before I moved to Sales, were I was responsible for the international music and video market. I also supported our Indian, Chinese and Hong Kong business as Business Support Manager for a couple of years. Since 2018, I have been in charge of innovation and diversification in our company.

 

Description of your current position: Responsibilities, daily tasks, what do you enjoy most?

Currently, I am in charge of innovation and diversification, which includes a close collaboration with almost all global departments, other Sony divisions, as well evaluating market trends and identifying potential future business streams for Sony DADC. The beauty of this role is to focus on market and technology trends, future products and to work very closely with potential new clients and colleagues around the globe.

 

Why would you recommend Sony DADC as an employer? If you could choose one thing you like the most would what it be?

Sony DADC offers great personal development opportunities, is a great place to work at, the technology, product and quality focus is outspoken and the people as well as the Sony DADC spirit makes DADC a great place to work at.

Short summary of work history: What position did you start in? Where are you now?

I joined Sony DADC back in 2009 and started in the Customer Service Department, where I took care of a Key Account. After my maternity leave, I returned part-time to the Project Management Team. After that, I switched to the newly founded Continuous Improvement Team where I took care of the implementation of our Online Training Tool. In the beginning of 2021, I moved to the Human Resources Department where I currently work as an HR Administrator.

 

Description of your current position: Responsibilities, daily tasks, what do you enjoy most?

As an HR Administrator I take care of many administrative HR tasks for my assigned departments as well the operational responsibility for our recruiting. Other than that, I have the possibility of participating in additional company-wide projects like the implementation of our digital signature tool. What I enjoy most about my current job is the variety and that I get to work closely with many different people within the company.

 

Why would you recommend Sony DADC as an employer? If you could choose one thing you like the most would what it be?

As a mom of two young children, I can say that I´m really grateful for the great flexibility of working hours and workspaces as well as the excellent opportunities for my personal development and career within the company. Generally, I really like the team spirit and friendly atmosphere here at Sony DADC.

Short summary of work history: What position did you start in? Where are you now?

I first joined Sony DADC in 2003 as an Operator in Assembly/Packaging and then worked as a Shift Technician from 2004 till 2016. I left Sony DADC in 2016 and came back in 2019 as a Day-Shift Technician. Since 2021, I´ve been an Engineer in Assembly/Packaging.

 

Description of your current position: Responsibilities, daily tasks, what do you enjoy most?

As an Assembly/Packaging Engineer, I am responsible for functioning and efficient assembly lines, automated storage systems, as well as palletizing robot systems. In the morning, I check all machines’ performance from the previous day ahead of our morning meeting. After the meeting, I continue my work on designated projects to improve efficiency or develop new concepts, and take care of my daily tasks which consist for example of analysing process errors, troubleshooting, planning of processes and the general technical lead of our Assembly/Packaging. What I enjoy most is training our Junior and Senior Technicians and continuously improving our machines or developing new solutions.

 

Why would you recommend Sony DADC as an employer? If you could choose one thing you like the most would what it be?

Here at Sony DADC, we have great working hours and the flexible working times are a plus. What I like most is working with great colleagues who have actually become friends.
