For the 40th anniversary of the German punk band Böhse Onkelz, Sony DADC was entrusted with a special request. An order for a vinyl box set of the extra class.
The total package consisted of 38 vinyl records packaged in 4 large books, along with a slipmat and cover cards in a hardcover slipcase.
Each unit had a total weight of about 15kg! The slipcases were packed in individual shipping boxes, ready to be sent to fans who ordered them through the band’s website.
The final product was shipped just before Christmas to go on sale on December 28. With just 1500 units, the exclusive product sold out immediately, despite a retail price of 450€ per package.
